Unicomer Group celebrates its 25th anniversary and reaffirms its leadership in the region as a Full Service Retail Group — a business model that combines retail, financial services, and digital transformation to provide solutions that bring well-being to millions of customers across Latin America, the Caribbean, and the United States.
Over this quarter of a century, Unicomer Group has built a legacy of sustainable growth, innovation, and social commitment. This is reflected in its geographic expansion, the creation of a unique model that integrates the omnichannel experience, the development of digital platforms such as the EMMA app, the generation of formal employment for our team members, and the promotion of sustainability and financial education programs in the countries where we operate.
Currently, Unicomer Group has a presence in 20 countries, with more than 1,255 points of sale and a team of over 13,130 team members. In addition, it generates more than 1,650 indirect jobs through franchisees, workshops, transporters, and promoters. With over 25 commercial brands, the Group serves more than 3.4 million customers, 1.9 million of whom access formal credit as part of its financial inclusion strategy.
Digital transformation has been a key pillar in this process, driving the evolution toward a more agile and personalized retail experience. The development of robust eCommerce platforms, the strengthening of omnichannel services, and the launch of innovative financial solutions have allowed the Group to offer modern, connected shopping experiences with immediate access to credit. An example of this vision is the RadioShack brand, acquired in 2015 for Central America, South America, and the Caribbean, whose global intellectual property assets were incorporated by the Group in 2023. In 2024, RadioShack entered the U.S. market with a renewed sales strategy and eCommerce platform, expanding its global reach and strengthening Unicomer’s presence in a key market.
In the social and environmental field, the company has remained firmly committed to sustainability and social responsibility through school scholarship programs, road safety education campaigns, corporate volunteering, and sustainable practices that promote the responsible use of natural resources and the reduction of the carbon footprint.
