Unicomer Group through the acquisition on April 11, 2016 of OMNI will now operate in Curacao, Bonaire, and St. Maarten of the Dutch speaking Caribbean expanding its presence to 24 countries including Central America, South America, United States, and the Caribbean.
Omni had its beginnings in 1982 in Curacao, expanding its presence to St. Maarten in 1989 and Bonaire in 1998. Today it is an important player in these islands specializing in the – sale of A/C units, electronics, home appliances, office equipment and solar products.
With it’s 6 stores: 4 in Curacao, 1 in St. Maarten and 1 in Bonaire, OMNI specializes in promoting eco-friendly products, offering exceptional customer service and added value to the people of these territories.
This purchase allows Unicomer Group to solidify its position as a leading regional retailer employing 110 associates to the 15,000 already employed and serving customers with more than 1,000 stores on 3.6 million square feet of sales area in the 24 countries where it currently operates.
