In this year the “Commerce and Industry Partnership of Curacao” was founded
1911
Named “Curacao Trading Company” (CETECO) which sold household and agricultural products
1945
Its commercial strategy changed from selling agricultural inputs to retailing household appliances. The first stores were known as Curacao Trading Company
2000
Operations were strengthened in Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and Dominican Republic
2004
Expands to Houston as the Central American Trade Union, UNICOMER
2005
Expands its brand extension by providing optical services under the new chain “Ópticas La Curacao” in Guatemala
2006
“Ópticas La Curacao” begins its operations in El Salvador, Nicaragua and Honduras
La Curacao Cash begins operations in Guatemala and Honduras with 15 stores
2015
La Curacao exceeds 200 stores in the region
2016
Store number 1,000 opens in Honduras.
