We opened our 30th Courts store in Drax Hall, Jamaica

The new Drax Hall store, strategically located on the North Coast, was opened on October 10th, 2024, and is set to have a positive impact on the local economy. The 18,278-square-foot property includes 15,944-square-feet of retail space, making it one of the largest and most innovative Courts locations in Jamaica.

Featuring a two-story retail space with an escalator, it also showcases an Augmented Reality Mural highlighting Courts services, created by local artist Bonito “Don Dada” Thompson.

The Most Honorable Prime Minister Andrew Holness gave a speech congratulating the company on its new location saying, “First and foremost I want to express my deepest appreciation to Courts for their continued investment in Jamaica. Congratulations on your 65th anniversary and on opening your 30th store in Jamaica. It is remarkable to witness how far Courts has come, evolving from a single store to becoming a household name synonymous with quality and reliability across the island.”

Additionally, Courts Drax Hall will offer specialized services, including Courts Optical, Courts Ready Cash, JN Money Services, MoneyGram, and GK Money Services – Western Union, reinforcing its status as a comprehensive one-stop-shop.

Courts Jamaica remains deeply committed to Corporate Social Responsibility through initiatives such as the “65 Acts of Kindness,” in commemoration of the brand’s 65th anniversary, celebrated this year. In addition, Courts continues to support educational advancement through its “Dare to Dream” scholarship program, with 41 students receiving financial support for their secondary education in 2024.
