Unicomer Group aware of its role in social changes and committed to the transformation of the company to operate based on sustainability, invested this year more than USD 180K in the countries where it is present, to develop the third Volunteer Week together to more than 1,000 volunteers of the Group’s brands.
Unicomer Group with more than 18 years of history, has consolidated as one of the most important and leading multinationals in the region, in the retail business of appliances, furniture, optics, motorcycles and financial services. Currently, the Group operates in 24 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean through its more than 25 commercial brands.
The Volunteer Week started as an initiative in 2016 with the objective of contributing to the well-being of vulnerable groups in society through the work and commitment of its volunteers, with refurbishment of schools, children’s homes, building of houses, reforestation of public spaces, among others. The vision of Unicomer Group with this initiative is to be part of the solution of social problems in their communities, while strengthening in their employees their commitment and co-responsibility in their environments.
This year, the Volunteer Week was held in 18 countries where Unicomer is present, and for a week, volunteers from different countries joined different NGOs that organized the logistics of the different activities that were developed in each country. Among the NGOs with whom they worked, are: Glasswing, TECHO, Rotary Club in the Caribbean, among others.
