Twenty-five years ago, we set a dream in motion: to build a solid, purpose-driven company capable of transforming the lives of millions of people across our region. Today, we are proud of the legacy we have built together, adapting along the way, guided by our values and forging strong relationships with our customers, team members, and strategic partners.
Over the past 25 years, we have become a benchmark for growth and adaptability in the competitive world of retail and financial services. Our journey has been shaped by constant innovation, a strong commitment to financial inclusion, and the development of the talent that drives us forward every day.
Today, we provide over 8,115 jobs in Central America, 2,035 in South America, and 2,960 in the Caribbean, along with 1,650 indirect jobs. We are a multicultural operation present in 20 countries, where we’ve fostered a culture of ethics, cooperation, respect, and shared responsibility. Our shared vision has allowed us to make decisions that benefit not only our business but also our team members, customers, communities, and the environment.
Our growth strategy focuses on omnichannel competitiveness, digital transformation, and the continuous improvement of the customer experience, always with the purpose of delivering solutions that transform lives. These 25 years have been key to establishing us as a benchmark across Central America, South America, and the Caribbean.
We are a global player with purpose
We’ve built an extensive group of commercial chains, bringing together leading brands such as La Curacao, Gollo, and Almacenes Tropigas in Central America; Artefacta in South America; and Courts, Courts Optical, Ashley, AMC Unicom, Hagemeyer, Price Hacker, and Home & Nature in the Caribbean, as well as Courts in the United States.
One of our major milestones was the acquisition and consolidation of RadioShack in 2015, when we acquired the brand, intellectual property, and franchise agreements for Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. In 2023, we took a significant step forward by acquiring RadioShack’s intellectual property assets and domains in approximately 70 countries around the world, including the United States, Canada, Europe, and China. This enabled us, in 2024, to consolidate our entry into the U.S. market through our renewed e-commerce platform www.radioshack.com and marketplaces like Amazon and Walmart—backed by a new sales strategy, innovative product lines, and a globally recognized shopping experience, all supported by our operations in El Salvador.
